Alena Brown is an Atlanta native with a BA in Psychology and a MSW with a Direct Practice focus for children and families. She has been active in yoga for 9 years and received her certification from Pittsburgh in 2017.
As a former dancer, Alena uses yoga in her everyday life to stay physically active along with her pain management for scoliosis, sleep challenges, and stress/anxiety. Her teaching background includes guided meditation, restorative yoga, vinyasa flow, chair yoga and aerial yoga.
It is her mission to bring Yoga and mindfulness into the school setting to help youth with their emotional and behavioral challenges, in addition to making yoga accessible to all people, regardless of their community, socioeconomical, or racial background.
